Low Temperature Systems

Water damage is among the most costly catastrophes a homeowner can encounter.

Here in Maine, where winter strikes with a heavy blow, frozen pipes are a common reason for our phones to ring. Prevention is the best medicine and a low temperature system is the perfect prescription.

If your only concern is preventing frozen pipes, we have low temperature systems that include a control panel, a keypad and a temperature sensor. The sensor is set as a predetermined temperature (we recommend 10 degrees below your thermostat setting, anything below 40 doesn't allow much time before hitting 32!) and located in a site where it is going to get the coldest the quickest and near pipes. If the temperature in your home reaches that preset temperature, we receive an alarm signal and make the appropriate contacts according to your call list: you, a local caretaker, the oil company or the plumber.

The panel is expandable if you ever want to add security or fire detection equipment to this system you can.
