Fire Alarm Systems

When seconds are precious, a monitored fire alarm system from Northeast Security Systems makes that call for help when you cannot. Whether you are at work, on vacation or physically unable to call for help, your system will make the call for you. Alarm Operations Dispatchers receiving the alarm signal will dispatch the appropriate fire department with precise directions to your home. Your main concern should be evacuation, ours is notification. Insurance discounts are available from most providers from 10 - 15%.

Designing a Residential Fire Detection System can involve two scenarios, existing homes and new construction. For existing homes there are no fire code requirements. If you wish to have one smoke detector installed you may. New construction does have specific code requirements: a smoke detector in each sleeping room, on each floor and within a set distance from a sleeping room. This provides the best level of early detection and therefore timely notification.

Monitored smoke detectors provide not only onsite notification with a siren but also notification to our Alarm Operations Center. We will dispatch the necessary authorities according to the homeowner's requests.

Plan regular fire drills to ensure that everyone knows exactly what to do when the siren sounds. Hold a drill at night to make sure that sleeping family members awaken at the sound of the alarm. Some studies have shown that some children may not awaken to the sound of a siren. Know what your child will do before a fire occurs.
